Reading Response 2

In this assignment, I connected the concept of discourse communities to my own experience as an athlete. Before I read the readings, I thought of softball just as a sport, but I learned it is also a discourse community with its own communication, leadership, expectations, and shared goals. This reflection helped me make meaningful connections between this course and my personal experiences, while improving my ability to analyze readings and explain ideas using real life examples.
