This paper explains how softball is a discourse community by showing how players and coaches communicate, work together, and share common goals. I discuss the importance of communication, teamwork, leadership, and the different roles each player has on the team. I also reflect on how playing softball has shaped me as both an athlete and a person through the lessons I've learned over the years. I revised this paper by improving organization, adding more personal examples, and including visuals to better support my ideas.
